PolyU Student Exchange Programme

As a full-time student, you will have the opportunity to take part in the PolyU Student Exchange Programme. You will be able to earn credits for your degree, experience a different culture, and enhance your language ability. This is also the perfect opportunity to widen your horizons and gain a global perspective.

The exchange usually lasts for one semester in general but other options are also available. You can choose your desired programme from more than 200 partner universities in 25 countries worldwide.

On top of the Student Exchange Sponsorship, Hardship Fund is also available for applicants who have financial difficulties in supporting their exchange studies.

Internship Programme

With the aim of helping students to be 'all-round students with professional competence' and to produce 'preferred graduates', all students taking undergraduate degree programmes should complete a mandatory Work-Integrated Education (WIE) component as part of the curriculum requirement. WIE is a work-based learning experience that takes place in an organizational context relevant to a student’s chosen profession. It provides PolyU students with excellent opportunities to learn to connect classroom theory with practical workplace applications through on-the-job work placements. The Careers and Placement Services (CPS) Section of Student Affairs Office assists students in fulfilling WIE through offering internship opportunities and a series of pre-placement training workshops.

CPS offers summer internship opportunities in Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and overseas in which students learn by taking on responsible roles in organizations and observing and reflecting on their experiences. Students are encouraged to view the local job vacancies through Job Board and join 'Preferred Graduate' Development Programme(PGDP) for offshore internships.
